To emphatically say that the “fall” season is the most perfect time to visit the low country may be a bit strong but, in my personal opinion, this time of year cannot be more perfect. The temperatures are cooler, the local oyster roasts have started and the sunsets are truly spectacular. The May River is still warm from the summer sun which allows guests to rent a paddleboard and paddle over to the local sand bar during low tide. Most of the time, our local Bottlenose Dolphins are drawn to the sound of the paddleboarders and boaters and swim very close to investigate. What a treat!
